What to Consider While You Browse

While you’re figuring out what you’d like in your new home and what you wouldn’t like, here are some questions to ask yourself while you look through the gallery:

Which master bath layout looks the most functional?
Do you want a fireplace?
Would you prefer an open floor plan or spaces meant for certain occasions?
Do you love the photos of homes with vaulted or cathedral ceilings?
Did you gravitate toward the exterior photos that have front porches?
If you’re adding a back porch or deck, did you like the look of French doors or sliding doors leading out to it?
Which types of wood or stain did you like the most for the cabinetry in the kitchen and bathrooms?

These questions are helpful because they’re specific. When you find things you like, you should be very specific when you make notes. That way, during your design consultation, the designer will have a clear idea of exactly what you want.
